With 200/200 A/D, these will allow you to fight through the CA continent map while still in Iron Age if you use them with rogues and do the fights manually. Ballista for most fights, but occasionally you'll need legionaires for armies with a lot of cavalry or soldiersĭo the barbarian quest line on the EMA map to get 2 EMA heavy infantry. Soldiers suck, I suggest using legionaires and ballista. You need the attack to do GE, they also give as many FP per tile as shrines or knowledge, and they give Bronxe age goods which are hard to get (especially helpful before you can auto battle GE4).
I really like Stage of Ages for Iron Age diamond farms and you can get about 20 of them during this event without soending dismonds, just using the +5% hero. If you plan to stay in Iron Age, then don't research public baths until you're on the HMA continent map and need to research a culture building technology so you can go ahead and do more story quests before getting tech locked.
You could consider the CDM or CoA, but I don't think they are worth the FP investment on a diamond world with hoe good event buildings are now Ignore all GBs besides Zeus, Arc (for medals for expansions), Temple of Relics (for FoY), and the Seed Vault (more diamonds per tile than WWs).
